Wills and Powers of Attorney

If you have any assets, anywhere in the world, then you should have a will. It dictates what happens to your assets when you pass away.

If you do not have a will then the Province of Ontario has legislation which states how your assets are to be distributed. This may not be what you want done.

If you become incapacitated for any reason you should also have two powers of attorney. These appoint someone of your choosing to look after you rather than the government.

The first power of attorney is for your property and allows your representative to deal with your bank accounts, utilities, home, etc. so that they are maintained while you are unable to do so.

The second power of attorney is for your person and is sometimes called the living will. It allows your representative to make decisions about the health care you receive.

Our fee for one standard will and two powers of attorney is $395.00 + HST.

Our fee for husband and wife standard reciprocal wills (2) and powers of attorneys (4) is $475.00 + HST.
